SOL Mental Health Announces CEO Transition

SOL Mental Health announced on Thursday that Kevin Trexler has been appointed as the company’s new CEO. Trexler will succeed Evan Lengerich, who founded the company in 2019.

Trexler most recently served as CEO of American Dental Partners from 2015 to 2021. He has also worked in several roles with DaVita Healthcare Partners, including as senior vice president of operations, a position in which he led 700 clinics in the eastern US.

Lengerich, meanwhile, will continue with SOL as president, focusing on national expansion with strategic partners.

ARC Health Acquires California-Based Provider

ARC Health, a Thurston Group portfolio company, announced it is acquiring Positive Change Counseling Center (PCCC), a mental health practice with 4 clinic locations in San Diego and Ventura counties in California.

Founded in 2006, PCCC offers in-person therapy and telehealth-based services, specializing in serving couples, families, and individuals of all ages. Through its partnership with ARC Health, PCCC will look to develop its practice and expand its reach. Founder Jennifer Lundy-Aguerre said in a news release that partnering with ARC was appealing because it enabled PCCC to “maintain our practice mission, vision, and values,” while also having “more access to HR, IT, marketing, and recruitment” support.

Ellie Mental Health Appoints First Chief Marketing Officer

Ellie Mental Health, a clinician-owned mental healthcare company, announced on Wednesday that it has hired Melissa Amponsah as the company’s first chief marketing officer. Amponsah has nearly 2 decades of marketing experience working in a variety of sectors, such as lifestyle, consumer, and franchise brands, including Target and Supercuts.

In her new role with Ellie, Amponsah will oversee integrated marketing efforts across new and existing franchises as the company continues its expansion. Chris Pash, senior vice president for growth and development at Ellie, said in a news release that the company has plans to open more than 500 clinics and that “Amponsah will be key in creating a cohesive brand experience and offering the support needed to new franchise owners.”

CODAC Appoints 2 Executives

CODAC Behavioral Healthcare announced on Wednesday that it has added 2 members to its executive team.

Dustin Alvanas has rejoined the organization as chief operating officer, a role in which he will be responsible for strategic operation of CODAC programming. Alvanas, who during his previous stint with CODAC helped to develop several of its programs, will also work to implement programming and supervise clinical and operational aspects of the organization.

Meanwhile, David Nefussy has been appointed chief business officer. Nefussy has more than 25 years of experience in managed behavioral healthcare.
