Eleanor Health Announces New CEO
Eleanor Health, a provider of value-based addiction and mental health treatment, has appointed William McKinney as its new CEO, effective January 9. The company announced the hiring of its new chief executive on Tuesday.
McKinney succeeds Corbin Petro, who founded the organization in 2019. Petro announced on LinkedIn in August 2023 that she was stepping down as CEO and transitioning into a new role as an Eleanor Health board member and advisor.
McKinney comes to the organization having most recently served as CEO of Sevita (formerly The MENTOR Network), a provider of home- and community-based specialty healthcare services, from 2019 to 2023. McKinney has also held senior leadership titles with Integrated Care Group at Fresenius Medical Care, where managed multiple business lines, MedSpring Urgent Care, and WellCare Health Plans. He also consulted for McKinsey & Company.
“William has a proven track record of delivering mission and margin, at scale,” David Whelan, board chair of Eleanor Health and co-founder and general partner of Town Hall Ventures, Eleanor’s founding investor, said in a news release. “His deep knowledge of value-based contracting and care delivery for complex populations positions him well to propel Eleanor to further success in its mission to transform the quality, delivery and accessibility of addiction treatment.”
Eleanor Health offers in-person and virtual substance use disorder treatment services with operations in 7 markets. The company has 17 value-based contracts, including 3 with national payers, focusing on coordinating integrated care and addressing all drivers of health.
