Eric Scott, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon at the Iowa Clinic in Des Moines, Iowa where he began his practice in 2008. He performs both arterial and venous procedures and has a special interest in endovascular therapies for PAD and treatment of critical limb ischemia. He is a leader in the use of atherectomy devices and has trained physicians in the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America on their use. He also participates in numerous clinical trials of novel endovascular therapies for the treatment of PAD. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons biking, skiing, and playing tennis.
Ravish Sachar, MD, FACC, is the physician-in-chief of the UNC-REX Heart and Vascular Service Line in Raleigh, North Carolina. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and fellowship in Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Intervention at The Cleveland Clinic. His clinical interests include carotid artery stenting, acute stroke intervention, peripheral vascular intervention, and critical limb ischemia. He is actively involved in clinical research and has published extensively. He is a frequent lecturer at national and international conferences and has directed several teaching programs on carotid artery disease and peripheral vascular disease. He has authored two textbooks on peripheral vascular intervention. He is the founder and CEO of Contego Medical LLC, a Raleigh, North Carolina based medical device company that has developed a novel embolic protection platform and holds more than 30 issued or pending patents. He is also the founding member and Managing Director of Rex Health Ventures, a hospital-based VC fund focusing on the healthcare space.
