High-Visibility Emergency Signs

Highway accident scenes. Bad weather conditions. Evacuations. There are times, as emergency responders, when you need to get words of warning out to motorists and other civilians. OnScreen Technologies’ portable RediAlert Rapid Dispatch Emergency Signs can be used by EMS, fire, law enforcement and others in the emergency services to communicate critical text and graphic information and urge caution in dangerous situations. Each illuminated 3´ x 5´ sign contains light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that remain visible in almost any weather condition. Bundled keyboard or optional wireless PDA can input three lines of programmable messaging. RediAlert signs run on a 12-volt power source, with optional solar panels, battery packs and adapters to fit into vehicles’ cigarette lighters. Ruggedized Tablet PC

The computers you use in the field these days have to be tougher than ever before. With this in mind, JLT Mobile Computers, Inc., is debuting the G-Force 850, its second entry into the burgeoning ruggedized tablet PC market. Featuring a photograph-quality, 8.4" display with 400 nits of backlighting for daylight applications, the G-Force 850 can run for five hours (at full operation) or eight hours (using its power-saving feature) on a single battery charge, thanks to its low-consumption Transmeta Crusoe TM5800 (800 MHz) CPU. Military battery upgrades are available for users requiring operation in extreme temperatures. The batteries can be hot-swapped, meaning they can be changed in mid-application without the need to reboot or shut down the tablet. All forms of wireless and/or radio modem communications are supported via a CF 32-bit Cardbus slot. Disk storage options are available as well. For more information, call 480/705-4200, or visit www.jltmobilecomputers.com.
