AED Support Kit

AED/CPR Instructor Support

The AED Instructor Foundation supports and assists CPR/AED instructors in preparing their communities and workplaces to provide on-site initial emergency medical care. The Foundation-provides formal instructor Affiliates with free resources,-inexpensive seminars and access to a new low-cost AED (under $1,000) specifically designed for infrequent responders. AED Trainer

For preparing students for emergency situations, Nasco offers the Life/form AED Trainer. Pediatric AED Capability

ZOLL Medical Corporation announces a new pediatric capability for its AED Plus for children up to eight years old. This capability includes voice prompts that tell rescuers what type of electrodes—adult or pediatric—are connected. Separate and specific algorithms for adults and children are used to analyze a victim’s heart rhythm. Pediatric-specific energy levels also are incorporated.
