Looking Back, Looking Ahead
It’s that time of year again, when we take a moment to reflect back on our accomplishments over the past 12 months, while looking to what’s on the horizon.
We’ve had a busy year at EMS World, with everything from launching a new Spanish edition to producing webcasts, podcasts and blogs, and hosting North America’s largest EMS conference, EMS World Expo, in between.
One of the highlights of the year for me was working with EMS World editorial advisory board member Matt Zavadsky on our MIH-CP “how to” series, which outlined a road map for EMS success in the mobile integrated healthcare arena. Topics covered included accreditation of MIH-CP programs, education of practitioners and payer perspectives for services. We will continue our coverage of this pivotal topic in 2016, with an increased focus on hands-on clinical and operational issues and profiles of successful programs.
Last month, we launched our Spanish-language channel, EMSWorld.com/revista, which will feature both articles translated from EMS World’s archives as well as original content authored in Spanish.
We have continued to expand our podcast offerings. Word on the Street host Rob Lawrence just completed a four-part series of interviews with key faculty from ECCU 2015, who share their views on the future of resuscitation medicine. Listen at EMSWorld.com/podcast. We also produced several webinars during the year, with the latest addition—Time is Brain: The Need for Speed in Large Vessel Occlusion—providing a compelling discussion on the pivotal role EMS providers play in the care of stroke patients. Watch now at EMSWorld.com/webinars.
Next year will see a redesign of EMS World Magazine, new columnists and more great content from our contributors. Until then, Happy New Year!
