IAFC Releases Vaccine Priority Chart for Fire & EMS Providers By State

The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) has developed a chart listing the priority tier to which firefighters and EMS personnel have been assigned in each state. These levels are extremely fluid and likely will change as states continue to refine their plans.
The IAFC is encouraging fire chiefs to review their state’s plan and see how firefighters and EMS personnel in their state have been prioritized for access to the COVID-19 vaccine. Based on this prioritization level, the IAFC also encourages all fire chiefs to urge their governor’s office and local public health department to ensure that all firefighters and EMS personnel are placed on Tier 1A for access to a COVID-19 vaccine.
