Pulmodyne
VT Select
www.pulmodyne.com
The VT Select is a manual resuscitator with a timed refill valve. It is recommended by the AHA to deliver 10 BPM of 500-600mL to a standard adult. When activated, the valve restricts the refill of the bag to ~4.5 seconds. This provides your patient ~10 BPM, helping eliminate hyperventilation. When the valve is activated, press your thumb and three fingers together utilizing the finger ridges to deliver approximately 500-600mL to the patient. The BVM is smaller (1200mL) than most adult bags, helping lower the risk of hyperventilation or barotrauma.
Judges' Feedback:
"Good design. Manometer has extra cost. But overall well-made and appears to answer a need."
SafeBVM
ADULT Sotair Device
www.safebvm.com
The Sotair is a single-use disposable device that can be used with any adult manual resuscitator with either a face mask or an advanced airway (endotracheal tube or supraglottic device) in non-breathing patients that require flow-controlled ventilation. The adult Sotair device is comprised of a flow-limiting valve that limits the inspiratory flow, enabling users to ventilate approximately 55 liters per minute (LPM) while minimizing gastric inflation during manual ventilation.
Judges' Feedback:
"Small and compact. Definitely controls pressure and answers the need put forward."
SoundOff signal
bluePRINT Sync
www.soundoffsignal.com
SoundOff Signal’s Innovation team collaborated with design, academic research, and experienced responders on BluePRINT SYNC. The peer-reviewed independent research has been published by SAE International, which provides evidence for the measured improvement of motorist recognition of a human responder surrounded by various vehicle flashing light scenarios, including which signal lighting operation techniques can provide the most improved visual detection of a responder much more quickly than less controlled legacy lighting operation and control options in use today.
