Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash With New York Ambulance

June 27--Nassau County police said they are investigating a collision Monday in East Meadow between an ambulance and a motorcycle in which the rider of the motorcycle was injured.

The ambulance was on the street near the Bristal Assisted Living Facility on Merrick Avenue when it collided with the motorcycle, which was traveling southbound, witnesses said.

A spokeswoman for Bristal said the ambulance was not associated with the facility.

It was unknown whether the ambulance was transporting a patient.
