Crestline Coach Breaks Ground for New Headquarters Building
Continuing its rapid business expansion, Crestline Coach Ltd., a leading ambulance and emergency vehicle manufacturer, is pleased to announce the building of their brand new headquarters at 126 Wheeler St., in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The venture includes merging the existing four facilities, currently spread out over approx. 64,000 sq/ft. in the Saskatoon Hudson Bay Industrial area into a single facility that is 80,400 sq. ft on an 8.5-acre site.
With the move to the new building Crestline will be able to accommodate all of its 135 Saskatoon-based staff, improve access to departments, double its production capacity, create operational efficiencies and reduce overall costs and lead time spent transferring parts between buildings. The building will include a production and paint area, a two-story office structure with over three times as many meeting spaces, a customer reception area, a medical supply showroom, a vehicle showroom/delivery area, an in-house area for customer service seminars and a large area for chassis and vehicle storage. The structural design utilizes large windowed areas and an open office environment for employees to maximize on the benefits of natural light. Groundbreaking took place in fall 2010 and construction is underway. The target date for building completion is December 2011.
"The new headquarters responds directly to the evolving needs of Crestline's growing business and our continually-expanding team," said Daryl Bitz, the company's President and CEO. "The long term vision for the company is to triple in size over the next 3 years. The new building confirms Crestline's confidence in the organization's long term prospects in an expanding global market."
With so many positive initiatives on the horizon, it is no surprise the company has been honored with a number of awards for excellence. Recently it was named one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies, a leading business awards program that recognizes excellence in Canadian-owned-and-managed companies with revenues over $10 million. Crestline was also named one of Saskatchewan's Top 20 Employers, an award that recognizes employers who lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. As well, the 2010 Business Excellence Award for Health Innovation was presented to Crestline for demonstrating excellence in the creation of products used by the health/medical sector in Saskatchewan and around the world.
