Acadian Paramedic Luncheon With Drew Brees Available on Webcast

Lafayette, LA -- May 17, 2009 -- Acadian Companies Annual Paramedic Luncheon, scheduled for Thursday, May 20, at noon CST, will be webcast and available for viewing at www.acadian.tv. The closed luncheon, which honors more than 1,500 medics, will feature New Orleans Saints quarterback and 2010 Super Bowl hero Drew Brees.

The luncheon will be held at the Cajun Dome. For employees who are working, or for the general public who would like to view the event, the webcast can be found by going to the above link. It can also be obtained on any iPhone or iPad.

Louisiana State Representative Fred Mills will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the event. Archbishop Gregory Aymond, the Archdiocese of New Orleans, will provide the invocation. Other participants will be Louisiana Lt. Governor Scott Angelle, Louisiana State Senator Mike Michot and Lafayette City-Parish President Joey Durel.

While Brees may be the highlight of the day for Saints fans, the presentation of the Dr. Arthur Vidrine, Jr. Memorial Award for the Paramedic of the Year will be a special moment for Eddie Domingue of Houma, LA. The paramedic chosen for this honor is voted upon by his peers. Dr. Ross Judice, the chief medical officer for Acadian, will make the presentation to Dominingue.

Ending the ceremony will be a message from Richard Zuschlag, chairman and CEO of Acadian Companies.
