Three Crew Members Killed in Western Tennessee Medical Helicopter Crash
A medical helicopter crashed in a thunderstorm in western Tennessee early Thursday, killing a pilot and two nurses on a return trip from delivering a patient. There were no survivors.

In December 2009, UMass Lowell Emergency Services, a university EMS system, used automated voice messaging to alert its EMTs after a New England ice storm cut off power to more than a million homes and businesses, closed schools, and knocked down trees and power lines. Nominations are now open for the Robert G. Nixon EMS EXPO Scholarship Program, which awards two scholarships each year for EMS providers to attend EMS EXPO. The scholarship consists of a 3-day core program registration to EMS EXPO and $1,000 stipend to cover travel and expenses.
