Florida Man Charged after Punching, Spitting on EMS Worker
Aug. 6--BRADENTON -- Nils C. Lagerman, 27, of Seffner, was arrested on assault charges late Saturday after he hit a Manatee County Emergency Medical Services worker in the groin with his fist and then spit on him, according to Manatee Sheriff's Office.
EMS was called to a restaurant on 15th Street East in Bradenton around 11 p.m. to treat a drunk individual. Lagerman punched the EMS worker when he bent down to make an examination.
After spitting on the EMS worker, Lagerman allegedly grabbed the medic's legs and would not let go, the report said.
The EMS worker did not suffer injuries, said Capt. Larry Leinhauser, spokesman for emergency services of Manatee County.
