Two Minn. Men Injured in Head-on Motorcycle Collision

June 02--Two men are recovering from injuries sustained after reportedly crashing into each other on motorcycles.

Deputies responded about 1:15 a.m. Saturday to the 9300 block of 105th Avenue Southwest in Rock Dell Township.

The men were each driving a motorcycle in the ditch, without headlights, the report says, when they collided.

Trevor Kurtz, 24, was taken by medical helicopter to a Rochester hospital, where he was listed this morning in fair condition. He suffered significant leg injuries, the report says.

Jordan Bates, also 24, was taken by Gold Cross Ambulance to the hospital, where he was discharged later that day, a spokeswoman said.

Alcohol was a factor in the crash, said Capt. Scott Behrns of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office. The incident remains under investigation, he said. Charges are pending.
