Woman Struck by Ambulance in Calif.
March 02--An ambulance speeding to a medical emergency collided with a woman walking near City College of San Francisco on Tuesday morning, sending her to the hospital with minor injuries, a spokesman for the San Francisco fire department said.
The pedestrian, who was not identified, was struck shortly before 8 a.m. in the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Howth Street. She was listed in stable condition at San Francisco General Hospital, fire Lt. Jonathan Baxter said.
The ambulance crew treated the pedestrian for her injuries and another ambulance was dispatched to answer the original call.
