Ohio EMT Pleads Not Guilty in Sexual Assault

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – The man who police say sexually assaulted a woman in the back of an ambulance pleaded not guilty today in Clark County.
Sam Conkel was arraigned on sexual battery and gross sexual imposition charges Thursday.
The judge continued his bond of $15,000. Conkel was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.
Conkel was an EMT and an employee of a medical transport company at the time.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says Conkel sexually assaulted a woman in the back of an ambulance while transporting her to a nursing facility in Springfield.
