NREMT: Recertification Now Open For EMTs, AEMTs and Paramedics

The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (National Registry) today announced the recertification period is open for EMTs, AEMTs and Paramedics. The recertification period runs from October 1, 2018 through March 31, 2019.

There are currently 392,938 nationally certified EMS personnel with more than 100,000 expected to renew their certification before the March 31st deadline.

“National Registry certification shows your dedication and commitment to the EMS profession,” said National Registry Executive Director Bill Seifarth. “It also represents a significant achievement in your career, something to certainly be proud of.”

Seifarth also encourages EMTs, AEMTs and paramedics to not wait until the last minute to recertify. “With so many going through the recertification process, it is best to get a head start in the event you have questions, concerns or find that you need an additional course.”

The National Registry has information available on its website (www.nremt.org) and will answer any questions you may have by email at support@nremt.org or phone at 614-888-4484. The National Registry’s social media channels also will have useful information throughout the recertification period.
