Mohawk Ambulance Service has been announced as the recipient of this year’s regional EMS Agency of the Year Award given by the Regional Emergency Medical Organization (REMO). Additionally, Edward Marchand, a member of Mohawk’s Training Center staff, was named as the recipient of this year’s Educator of Excellence award and Dr. Heidi Cordi, Mohawk’s Medical Director, received the Physician of Excellence Award.

Mohawk Ambulance Service offers a free EMT training program as a way of recruiting new talent into the field. The five-month course is offered twice annually and, since 2016, has added dozens of certified emergency medical professionals to Mohawk’s ranks and the larger EMS community.
Mohawk Ambulance Service offers a number of training opportunities to caregivers and medical professionals. Information on the courses provided is available at www.mohawkambulance.com under the Education tab.
Marchand and the staff of Mohawk’s Training Center were honored with the 2017 Educators of Excellence Award given by the Regional Emergency Medical Services Council of the Hudson-Mohawk Valley.

She served as President of the American Academy of Disaster Medicine from 2015-2017.
“I want to thank each and every member of the Mohawk Ambulance team for their constant dedication to our community,” said James P. McPartlon, III, president, Mohawk Ambulance Service. “Their strength and selflessness, especially in these past months, are an inspiration. I appreciate their commitment to provide the best possible care to our patients and I am thrilled that they can now all share in this honor. Thank you to REMO for this recognition.”
