FirstWatch Launches Roundtable Series for EMS
FirstWatch will launch a series of virtual roundtable discussions, open to the public, that focus on ways to use data and QI processes to improve people's health, the company announced.
The first of the "Conversations That Matter" series is scheduled for October 1.
The roundtables, which will occur monthly, have a goal "to provide compelling, relevant conversations intended to improve people-centered care using data and the science of quality improvement."
The first will consider "Preparing for Seasonal Flu in a COVID-19 World," examining likely events and what EMS systems can do to prepare to handle things safely. Featured speakers will include FirstWatch medical director Silvia Verdugo, MD, PhD, and infectious-disease expert Pam Farber, RN, along with FirstWatch "improvement guide" Mike Taigman hosting.
Future topics will include "Data-Driven Crisis Leadership" and "Evidence-Based Quality Measures." For more, see https://firstwatch.net/conversations/.
