Orlando Sentinel
Florida McDonald’s owners and operators will celebrate Frontline Heroes Day on April 12 by handing out free meals to healthcare workers, police officers, firefighters and paramedics.
“These amazing heroes do so much for our community,” said Donavon Groen, a local McDonald’s franchisee, in a press release. “It’s one year later and they’re still on the frontlines taking care of us. We want them to know that we appreciate them and will forever be grateful for what they do every day for us.”
From 11 a.m.-11 p.m., healthcare workers and first responders in uniform or with a valid ID or badge can receive a free medium crispy chicken sandwich meal (which includes fries and a drink). The offer is available in-store or via the drive-thru.
Restaurants in the following counties will participate in the free meal giveaway: Brevard, Charlotte, Citrus, DeSoto, Flagler, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lake, Manatee, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia.
