A rescue crew got Duron out of the vehicle, put her in a carrier and took her to a local hospital, said LACFD Inspector Randall Wright.

The Simi Valley Police Department confirmed Duron is the missing woman.

Duron was bought up from her vehicle, which was lodged 50 feet down the side of the canyon, by the Malibu Search and Rescue Team and taken by helicopter to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, the California Highway Patrol said.

Neither the CHP nor the fire department had any information on the condition of the vehicle or what may have caused her to leave the road.
