Columbia Southern University Launches 7 New Degree Programs

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. –Columbia Southern University recently added seven new degree programs and concentrations to its catalog, including:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Data Analytics concentration
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Logistics concentration
  • Bachelor of Science in Communication
  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology – Data Analytics Concentration
  • Bachelor of Science in Military Studies - Logistics Concentration
  • Doctor of Emergency Management

Included in the new program offerings is one of the few online doctoral programs in emergency management, led by subject matter expert Tamara Mouras, Ph.D., dean of the university’s College of Safety and Emergency Services and U.S. Navy Veteran.

Misti Kill, Ph.D., CSU’s senior vice provost for academic affairs, who also serves on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Advisory Council, was also part of the leadership team that spearheaded the new program development.

“We are excited to launch the Doctor of Emergency Management,” said Kill. “This degree is meant for scholar-practitioners who seek to advance the field of emergency management. Graduates of this doctoral program will enhance research and knowledge while bringing further innovation to the field.”

In addition to the Doctor of Emergency Management, the new degree offerings provide more options for those seeking a Bachelor of Science completely online.
