Community Ambulance Granted Additional 911 Territory, Establishing New Zone for Emergency Services
Community Ambulance, the leading ambulance company in Southern Nevada, has once again been granted additional 911 territory by Clark County following a County Commission meeting in early June 2023. The expanded area, which will go live on July 27th, extends from Tropicana South on the west side of town to an additional 4 square miles on the east side of Zone 6, up to Sahara. This represents a 13 percent increase in territory and signifies the establishment of Zone 9 for Community Ambulance, alongside the previously redrawn boundaries of Zones 6, 7, and 8.
Community Ambulance has gained well-deserved recognition for its unwavering commitment to excellence in Southern Nevada. Since the initial redistricting in 2021, which resulted in an additional 18 percent call volume, bringing their total to 33 percent, they have continued to excel. Another redistricting in January further boosted their call volume by an additional 18 percent. The most recent redistricting this month has granted Community Ambulance an additional 13 percent, further solidifying their impressive call volume of 65 percent of calls received in Clark County.
Brian Rogers, Chief Operating Officer/Partner of Community Ambulance, expressed his appreciation for the new territory, stating, "We are honored to be entrusted with this additional 911 territory by Clark County. This expansion allows us to enhance our emergency medical services and further strengthens our commitment to delivering the highest standards of care to the residents of Zone 9. We are excited to continue saving lives and making a positive impact on our community."
This expansion reinforces Community Ambulance's dedication to providing top-notch emergency medical services to the community. By extending their reach and capacity, they are better equipped to respond to emergencies and provide life-saving care to a larger population. The realignment of zones will optimize emergency response times, ensuring that every resident in the area receives prompt and effective medical attention when they need it most.
In the previous month, compliance for each Clark County Zone exceeded 94% in all areas:
Clark County 911 Zone | Compliancy |
---|---|
6 | 95.4% |
7 | 96.8% |
8 | 94.8% |
