How Understanding Social Determinants of Health Help EMS Improve Community Health

The Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) are gaining more attention in the payor community as a way to identify and correct community health problems. EMS is uniquely qualified to report on and correct health issues related to SDOH. This is known as Proactive Illness Prevention (PIP) and is of great interest to payors.
