The problem in a fast paced, high pressure, EMS environment is that providers often don’t receive on-the-job feedback. Patient care is transferred in the ER and the EMS unit goes back in service to attend to the next call. Technology is helping to make strides via a picture of an occluded vessel of a STEMI patient or the downloaded read-back from an AED to provide reassurance of a job well done, but seeing the living breathing patient makes all the difference in the world for the rescuer and the rescued.
