Distance CME
Distance CME was started by a nurse/paramedic, a physician, and a paramedic deployed with the U.S. Army in Iraq. “My National Registry Paramedic certification was coming up on its expiration while I was deployed," says the company's founder. "There was nowhere in the desert where I could take face-to-face classes to meet the National Registry requirement for non-distributive education. I thought, ‘wouldn’t it be great if I could take the required courses online with real-time interaction to meet those requirements?’ There wasn’t anyone out there who did this. So, after speaking with my partners, we spent a year putting together the technology and came up with a solution.”
Launched in 2011, Distance CME has seen over 25,000 providers use it to stay certified, each saving time and money keeping their certifications up to date with little to no effort.
Distance CME allows you to meet all NREMT requirements hour-for-hour in every category and type of education without being inconvenienced. Live lectures held in small blocks happen over and over again, giving you the flexibility of a recording, but it counts as live. Distance CME also offers recorded lectures, giving you the ability to start and stop lectures when you want. So whether or not you’re on duty, you can take live or recorded courses when it’s convenient for you.
