CMS Announces New Start Date for ET3 Model
PRESS RELEASE
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced that the first performance period for the Emergency Triage, Treat, and Transport (ET3) Model will now begin on January 1, 2021. The Model was delayed from its original start date of May 2020, in order to support the community of organizations that were focused on responding to the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) Public Health Emergency.
Selected applicants will be receiving a revised Participation Agreement (PA) in mid-October, 2020. Further public updates will be available on the ET3 Model website at https://innovation.cms.gov/innovation-models/et3.
It is the ET3 Model Team's mission to test ways to improve the value and quality of emergency services for Medicare beneficiaries.
If you have any questions, please contact ET3 Model Team by emailing their ET3 Model inbox at ET3Model@cms.hhs.gov.
