InfuSystem announced a US distribution agreement with Smith+Nephew for its NPWT system, Renasys Edge, in home-based care. SmartTRAK notes that Renasys Edge was launched in the US in April 2024. InfuSystem will be a secondary distributor, and SNN will continue selling directly.

This study evaluated the effect of silver dressings in the management of chronic wounds. The results revealed that they could enhance the healing rate, shorten the healing time, and reduce the wound infection rate. They had no significant effect on the reduction of wound area. IWJ

MediWound announced the results of the 239-patient NEXT Protocol. The open-label, single-arm treatment study took place across 29 burn centers. Results showed over 95% of patients achieved complete debridement, with the time to complete eschar removal being less than one day.
