This 2-part e-book series details how EMS serves a role in wildfire response in the United States. Part 1 chronicles the history and development of how medical support of wildfires has traditionally been delivered. Key features include the impact of the 2008 Andy Palmer Dutch Creek incident, the patient populations that may be encountered by response personnel on a wildfire incident, and the role of the medical unit leader.
