EMS Leadership: Principles in Practice Effective leadership sets the tone for an entire organization. A professional attitude starts at the top of any service or agency and becomes the standard by which all operations are measured, and nothing less is accepted.

This e-book explores the spectrum of competent leadership in EMS, from open communication to learning from mistakes to turning negative outcomes into valuable learning experiences.

All articles were authored by Brian LaCroix, BS, FACPE, CPPS, NRP (ret.), executive advisor and cofounder of the Cambridge Consulting Group (CCG). LaCroix serves as EMS coordinator at the Center for Patient Safety and is a retired EMS chief at Allina Health EMS in Minnesota.
