Are You All Digital?

Jodie Miller

April 2003

Dear Readers,

We have received a tremendous response from readers regarding our January/February Industry Interview, which featured Indiana Heart Hospital, an all-digital, paperless, and filmless facility. I received many letters from other hospitals who have also gone all-digital. This is exciting news; patients will continue to benefit from such a highly technological environment. Look for a handful of these letters on page 19. This month we also feature two Company Profiles on two innovative EP companies. Oscor designs, develops, manufactures and markets both permanent and temporary pacing lead systems. In fact, their Physique active fixation pacing lead, the second of their next generation, low-profile permanent pacing leads, was recently approved by the FDA. Look for the article on page 26. In addition, CryoCath Technologies specializes in the development and commercialization of cryotherapy catheters and surgical probes for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Their products include the Freezor, a single-use, minimally invasive cryocatheter designed to create focal lesions to treat arrhythmias in peri-nodal accessory pathways and AVNRT pathways, and the SurgiFrost cryoablation system. I hope you will check out this profile for more information.

Thanks for reading!
