A Novel Way to Manage Aortic Root Perforation at Transseptal Puncture

Dr. Kevin A. Michael and colleagues demonstrate an inadvertent transseptal puncture into the non-coronary cusp of the aortic root. In the first video, flow from aortic root puncture site into the right atrium is seen on intracardiac echocardiography. The second video shows the guidewire (arrows) entering the sinus of Valsalva and on the posterior wall of aorta.
