In this video, Dr. Piccini successfully extracts an infected ICD lead from a 62-year-old patient, using a GlideLight™ laser sheath. For patients with chronic retained leads, removal can represent a beneficial option to adding leads, leaving patients with more durable hardware and lower risk of chronic total occlusion.
