Transforming Specialty Pharmacy Operations to Deliver Better Patient Care

A core component of success in specialty pharmacy is the ability to leverage data and connectivity to achieve a superior coordination of care experience, as well as meaningful efficiency improvements. In this session, presenters will describe how cloud-based technology is being leveraged to connect various parts of the health care delivery matrix and provide patients living with complex, chronic illnesses with more holistic care and improved outcomes.

Mr Adams is Chief Information Officer for AllianceRx Walgreens Prime. His many years of health care experience include roles at Walgreens as Senior Director of Business Integration and Director of Business Solutions. Additionally, he has direct health care experience as Senior Product Development Manager with Cardinal Health and has consulted independently with Abbott. He credits holding several key positions within Sony Corporation as foundational to developing his strength in delivering technology solutions. Other career-building roles were held with Metromedia Fiber and as collaborative founder and director of Infrastructure Networks, Inc. Mr Adams earned his Clinical Psychology degree from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL.

Mr Creehan is president and general manager of Inovalon’s pharmacy software platform business, where he leads the company’s design, development, advancement, and support of data-driven pharmacy solutions. Mr Creehan has a 25-year history of pharmacy technology solution development and implementation and is the founder of creehan & company, the industry’s leading provider of enterprise software for the pharmacy marketplace. He has played an active role in advancing technology and automation for clinical decision support, care coordination, pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical distribution. Providing the strategy, vision, and architecture for the company’s technologies, Mr Creehan has lead the company to the #1 market position in specialty pharmacy, and to the establishment of a leading technology for driving clinical quality and patient outcomes in pharmacy. Mr Creehan holds a BS in Information Systems from Robert Morris University and is a graduate of the Entrepreneurial Management Program at Carnegie Mellon University. He is active in the pharmacy community and is a member of several industry associations.

Dr Dunleavy has served as Inovalon’s Chief Executive Officer since his organization of the company’s predecessor companies in 1998, and as Chairman of the board of directors since the creation of the board in 2006. Dr Dunleavy is responsible for the overall execution of the company’s business plan, strategic relationships, and the identification and realization of the company’s technology, data, and growth strategy and vision.
