Hot Topics From the 2023 PCMA Annual Meeting

The 2023 PCMA annual meeting had a wide variety of topics across the PBM and specialty pharmacy spectrum.

Front and center of the event was drug pricing. Speakers covered many different areas of drug pricing including:

IRA drug pricing provisions;
CMS drug pricing negotiations; and
How prescription drug affordability impacts client demands.

Additionally, speakers reviewed health equity, value assessments, and psychedelic medicines.

Aimed at providing the best access and care to patients, speakers also reviewed the rapid acceleration of medical benefit drug management, as well as the clinical effectiveness and market feasibility of new drug approvals.
