TRANSCRIPT:

Hi. I'm Dr Steve Hanauer from Northwestern University in Chicago, and I'm very much looking forward to Advances in IBD meeting that will be held from December 14th to 16th at the Dolphin and Swan in Orlando. As we've seen over the past 20 plus years now, this 2-to-3 day meeting encompasses the spectrum, the breadth and the depth of inflammatory bowel disease.

This is a very landmark year with a number of new agents currently approved for the treatment of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. There are going to be some great debates regarding the therapeutic dilemmas that we have, including therapeutic drug monitoring, and, of course, positioning therapies for patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

We hope you'll join us. There will be sessions for general gastroenterologist interested in IBD, additional sessions for advanced practice nurses as well as nurses, surgical sessions. So as you can see, we really are going to encompass the breadth of these diseases in these 3 days, so we really have some depth to the discussion.

Furthermore, we will be inaugurating the new Advances in IBD network, which will host all of our years of great content on the subject of IBD and we're very excited about this new innovation.

So again, looking forward to seeing you with nearly 2,000 of our close IBD colleagues, clinicians, surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, and, students as well. Trainees will be present. We will have special sessions for fellows, for women in gastroenterology. It's going to be a very exciting meeting. Looking forward to seeing you in Orlando!
