Section 1: Uploading Print and Digital Content  

1.1: Creating an Issue  

Print and/or magazine or Journal issue of a publication needs to be created if adding Issue Content to the website. 

• Create title for issue page  

• EX: “May 2021”; “Special Issue: Open Tibia Fracture Repair” 

• Content display: Check off which teaser items should show with the article  

• EX: headshot/stock art image, text preview, author byline 

• Issue information: insert preview image (if any; if not, it will not show); set publish date, if custom; insert issue number and volume number, if applicable 

• EX: Preview image may be a journal cover image 

• Featured item: select an article from the issue (after articles have been uploaded) to feature on (feed to) the HMP Global Learning Network 

• * Most recent articles uploaded will appear at the top of dropdown 

• Issue advertisement (if applicable): add sponsor or featured content to display on Issue page; need to include the information for the sponsored/featured article. Adds the sponsored item below the “issue feature” at the top of the issue page. If no feature is tagged, will show as the top item.  

• EX: Company may sponsor with research articles 

• Issue advertisement, Add Sponsored/Featured Article: fill out header, check off box if applicable, title, preview image (eg, headshot/stock art image), teaser text 

• EX: [IMAGE] 

• Body:  

• Unique ID: 

• Branding: select brand(s) associated with content assigned to the Issue; primary brand must be at the top and respective Learning Network included 

• EX: Vascular Disease Management & CardioVascular Learning Network 

• Change URL if needed 

• Save (can now create content within issue) 

• To set a featured article at the top of the issue page, tag the issue content as “Issue Feature”  

Comment in general overall (seems to be on multiple): 

• Where’s the unpublish/publish box? If no box, how do we unpublish the issue? 

1.2: Create Issue Content 

Content related to the print and/or digital issue of a journal. 

[Kim: Is it possible to have all of the collapsible fields collapsed when the user initially opens the content type to upload? All the fields opened are hard to follow and the order gets confusing due to taxonomy including multiple types of taxonomy that may not all be necessary] 

• Insert title, check off box if peer reviewed content, select any relevant optional subhead, ad roadblock, and image 

• Author Information: select authors, if not in website currently, type into the open text field; insert any disclosures and acknowledgments  

• Upload article PDF 

• Body Content: select relevant body content type [Kim: Remove slide show option 

• Insert relevant information in appropriate fields 

• Body and References: insert text 

• Partner: insert any Partner groups existing in the system (if not in the website, will need to manually create; see section XX on how to create a Partner) 

• Company: insert any company sponsorship – company has to exist first (See section XX on how to create a Company) 

• Outgoing URL: include if applicable [Kara: explain use] 

• Comment Settings: Select open or closed to allow for comments 

• Branding: List the primary brand first and then all subsequent brands (eg, learning networks). The primary brand will have their branding displayed on the content. 

• EX: Wounds, Wound Care Learning Network 

• Page Settings: select related content display, if needed; limit access (gate) to page; select appropriate content feedback/contact option 

• Content Feedback Settings (comments box): select open, closed, or scheduled (if scheduled, insert date range of active run) 

• Display Options: assign if sponsored and featured location/type 

• EX: Select department Learning Network (eg, Wound Care Learning Network) associated with primary brand, if not a Learning Network 

• Issue Information/Citation: include relevant print or digital information (see section 1.1 on creating an Issue) [Kara: provide formatting] 

• Taxonomy: search/filter existing article types; select any relevant topic/resource center; assign a Series (eg, Outspoken Oncology); insert Topics/key terms; insert related Meeting information, if any 

• SEO: insert meta title and description, if applicable 

• If applicable, schedule and/or change URL 

• Save 

Kim--With being able to change the background colors of text areas, can we also change font colors if the box color is dark (eg, navy blue)? 

• General comments 

• On the backend, I moved around a few content field (sectioned body content) and it changed the order to the version I wanted. On the front end, however, it did not re-order the table of contents in the side bar. 

• PDF icon in the table of contents shows weirdly. 

1.3: Supplement 

This content type includes the following: supplements, white papers, and other downloadable items. There is an option to gate the content behind a user needing to log in. 

• Insert title, preview image (supplement cover image), PDF file (if applicable) 

• Supplement Link (external/third-party host): paste URL of third-party/e-book; Link text will override the default “View More” button 

• Body: insert body text 

• Branding: List the primary brand first and then all subsequent brands (eg, learning networks). The primary brand will have their branding displayed on the content. 

• EX: Wounds, Wound Care Learning Network 

• Gate: check off if you want to make the user log in to access the content 

• Display Options: assign if sponsored and featured location/type 

• EX: Select department Learning Network (eg, Wound Care Learning Network) associated with primary brand, if not a Learning Network 

• Placement: assign if sponsored and featured location/type 

• EX: Select department Learning Network (eg, Wound Care Learning Network for Wounds) associated with primary brand, if not a Learning Network 

• SEO: insert meta title and description, if applicable [Kara: suggested format] 

• Tags: select topic review/landing page entity of Hub Type (see Section 2 on how to create a Hub Type) 

• Supplement Type: select relevant type of supplement [Kim: Should we edit these down to just supplement content types? I’m not sure how a quiz/poll can be a supplement] 

• Series: select if part of a series 

• EX: Outspoken Oncology 

• Sponsor Information: check off box if sponsored supplement and insert relevant sponsorship information  

• Page Settings: select related content display, if needed; limit access (gate) to page; select appropriate content feedback/contact option

• If applicable, schedule and/or change URL 

• Save 

1.4: Adding Web Content  

Content related to website exclusive content, such as the following types: 

[Kim: Description says videos, podcasts, polls/quizzes… but I don’t see where these are uploaded in the back end.] 

• Insert title of content, subhead (optional) choose Preview Image (optional), insert existing Authors (searchable; will autopopulate if it exists in the back end), type in other authors in Authors/Presenters open text, select PDF attachment (if applicable) [Kim: Add permissions. Include Brief description  

• Summary box: Provide a brief description of the content uploaded for preview text. 

• Body content: insert free text in Body field, multimedia embed code, and/or webcast/webinar URL (type title to filter results or free text internal path) 

• You can add  

• Interactive Content (slideshow): insert relevant information > click save 

• Quizzes/Video/Podcast – one field for all codes  

• Julie: Add directions on how to make quiz (Riddle), how to make podcast, how to make video 

•  [Kim: add embed field for quiz codes 

• You can add multiple slideshows by selecting the dropdown underneath the Slideshow Body field box. 

• Disclaimer: Insert disclaimer related to content. 

• EX: “The opinions expressed herein are the opinions of the authors/company…” 

• Advertising (optional): select Ad Roadblock image (must be an existing ad); insert an email address for the leads contact; Hello Bar (must be created before selecting; see section XX on how to create a Hello Bar)

• Tags, Article Type: filter and search article types > click apply > check off item > click submit 

• Topic Review/Internal Hubs/Tag to These Sections: search/filter and select entity 

• EX: Selecting Resource Center will only feature Resource Center pages 

• Topic Review/Internal Hubs/Tag to These Sections: Select Meeting Newsroom information, if applicable; type in Series (eg, podcast series: Speaking of Wounds); select topics 

• Placement: assign if sponsored and featured location/type 

• EX: Select department Learning Network (eg, Wound Care Learning Network for Wounds) associated with primary brand, if not a Learning Network 

• SEO: insert meta title and description, if applicable [Kara: Should we provide a standard description for editors to determine if they should use this field?] 

• Page Settings: select related content display, if not 1 column; limit access (gate) to page (optional); select appropriate content feedback/contact option 

• Content Feedback Settings (comments box): select open, closed, or scheduled (if scheduled, insert date range of active run) 

• If applicable, schedule publication and/or change URL

1.5 Webinar (Note to ignore this for now) 

Section 2: Hubs 

To create a new hub, go to Content > Add Content > Hubs 

• Input Hub Title 

• Hide H1 Page Title used for specific pages (ie Advances) 

1. Hub/Section Types – Kim, Add screenshot(s) for each page option 

• Select Hub/Section Type 

• Advances – One study summary, one KOL multimedia piece, and one interactive piece

• Basic Listing – Creates a listing page w/ load more button. Option to choose what fields show on the teaser for each created. (If summary is selected, image will be larger thumbnail. If no summary, image shows smaller)
