Banner Health Expands Use of Regard's AI Platform to Combat Clinician Burnout

Lisa Kuhns, PhD

Regard, an AI clinical platform, is expanding its partnership with Banner Health to introduce its diagnostic tool across all 33 Banner acute-care hospitals in 2024, following a successful pilot, according to a news release by PR Newswire.

"Banner [Health] is a leader in innovation, and we're proud to partner with their teams to address care team burnout and ensure their patients receive the best care, by surfacing critical information that exists within the EMR," said Nate Wilson, Regard's chief operating officer and co-founder.

Regard is a leading AI clinical automation technology firm that enhances electronic health record navigation and automates tasks such as chart reviews and note-taking for physicians. It maximizes the value of clinical data, saves time, boosts patient care, and strengthens hospital finances, paving the way for health systems and physicians to effectively use AI to deliver superior healthcare globally.

Following a successful pilot at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in June 2022, Banner Health plans to adopt Regard's clinical automation technology system-wide to alleviate clinician burnout and enhance patient face-to-face time amidst financial challenges.

The technology aims to reduce clinician burnout by improving workflow and patient care through AI-generated insights, enhancing clinical documentation and clinician communication, and streamlining processes for better care delivery and reimbursement efficiency.
