Hi, my name is Ripal Gandhi. I'm one of the course directors for the CIO, the Symposium on Clinical Interventional Oncology.
I really want to invite you to come to the CIO this year. We're returning back to Miami Beach, which is really exciting. We were in Orlando for a year last year, but we're back in Miami Beach at the Lowe's Hotel, and I'm really excited to have you.
I'm really excited about, and I'm going to tell you a little bit about, the program. We have a really comprehensive program and really an all-star faculty from all over the world.
Some of my favorite parts of the program that I want to highlight, number one is Liver Cancer: Year in Review, and we have a lot of great speakers there, and we have a panel where we discuss some of the major advancements in liver cancer over the last year, that is definitely a favorite year after year.
One of the topics which are really near and dear to me is Y90, radioembolization. We have updated topics, specifically highlighting some of the advancements, important dosimetry aspects with a case-based approach with both glass and resin radio microspheres, as well as some of newer approaches and what's hot in this area.
One of the other favorites year after year is technical tips and tricks. That’s definitely something that I always learn from. We have a variety of speakers who go through some of the special tips and tricks with a variety of different procedures, which you can always pick up a pearl or two.
A couple other aspects of the program, which are definitely exciting: what's new and hot emerging therapies, which includes, you know, a lot of new and interesting topics, including histotripsy, post -electrical fields, radio -pake Y -90, new frontiers and treatment of pancreatic cancer, robotics, intramural injections, as well as AI. So definitely stay tuned to that session. And then finally, the other session that I definitely want to highlight are tumor board debates where we go through various topics where we have different specialties, debating on different types of things that you may encounter in a tumor board setting, giving the major evidence for that specific topic and giving their best argument in favor of treating with one therapy versus another.
So look, I really look forward to seeing you in Miami. Miami Beach is a great time to be in September. Great weather, great restaurants, and I really look forward to seeing you there.
Thank you very much.
