RE: Stent Thrombosis – A Complication Best Avoided Originally in: J Invasive Cardiol 2008;20:166–167 (April) Please note that the medication “clopidogrel”, and not “coumadin”, should have appeared in the following sentence in the above-cited commentary. The Journal regrets this error which was not the fault of the authors. “...Glycoprotein (GP) IIb/IIIa inhibitors should be strongly considered unless contraindications exist.14–16 Platelet aggregation studies, though currently not standardized, should also be considered, and if insufficient platelet inhibition is detected with standard dual-antiplatelet therapy, an increased dose of clopidogrel at 150 mg per day can be recommended.17...”
