Fluoroscopy Revealing Tracheal Deviation and Lung Collapse

Video supplement to “Hemopneumothorax – An Unexpected Cath Lab Diagnosis,” by Arunothayaraj, et al.

A 57-year-old woman presented to a regional hospital with chest pain following a presumed mechanical fall while intoxicated. ECG revealed an inferior ST-segment elevation diagnostic for STEMI. Thrombolysis was initiated with tenecteplase and repeat ECGs showed reduction of ST elevation. However, the patient reported ongoing pain and developed hypotension. Fluoroscopy of the chest demonstrated gross tracheal deviation and collapse of the left lung.
