Lithoplasty, Insight and Wrap-up. Bob Bersin describes an exciting therapy called lithoplasty, in which balloon-delivered shock waves fracture calcium, (rather than dissolve or disrupt) and change lesion compliance leading to good acute gain under low pressure. 6-month outcomes appear quite favorable and the society members were extremely enthusiastic about the possibility for this technique in the future. Panelists include Tim Henry, Larry Dean, Simon Dixon, Bill O'Neill, Gary Roubin and Bob Bersin.
