Breast Cancer

Approximately 2% to 4% of breast cancer have FGFR2 sequence variations.3 Patients with FGFR2 amplification breast cancer tend to respond well to FGF inhibition treatment.3

Gastric Cancer

Around 10% of patients with gastric cancer experience upregulation of FGFR2.3 This upregulation is associated with diffuse cancer and with a worse prognosis.3

Hepatocellular Carcinoma

FGFR2 overexpression is associated with a high recurrence rate of HCC following hepatic resection.4

Lung Cancer

Sequence variations to FGFR2 occur in 5% of squamous NSCLC.5

FGFR2

Fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 (FGFR2), a tyrosine kinase, induces downstream signaling. When FGFR2 is dysregulated, it can cause tumor progression and cancer.1 FGFR2 alterations have been observed in 1.77% of all human cancers.2 FGF2 has potent angiogenic activity, inhibition of this tyrosine kinase can reduce tumor angiogenesis.3
