Lymphoma & Myeloma Congress 2019: Chair Insights
The 2019 Lymphoma & Myeloma Congress will be taking place this fall in New York City, October 23-26. Dr. Morton Coleman: My name is Dr. Morton Coleman. I am Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. John P. Leonard: I'm John Leonard from Weill Cornell Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Richard R. Furman: Richard R Furman, I am the Mort Coleman Distinguished Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, New York.
Dr. Coleman: Lymphoma & Myeloma is now the foremost conference in the United States on lymphoma, myeloma, chronic lymphatic leukemia, Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia, and the myeloproliferative disorders, including acute leukemia.
Dr. Furman: One of the things I like best about Lymphoma & Myeloma is it's very pragmatic. We'll speak a lot about the data that are available, that's your guide, clinical decision-making, and the impact that these decisions will have on patient outcomes.
Dr. Leonard: I am very excited about the Lymphoma Myeloma meeting for 2019 here in New York City. It is a fabulous meeting. We're approaching close to our 20th year.
Dr. Coleman: This is the largest meeting in the United States of its kind.
Dr. Leonard: It really brings together leaders in the field of lymphoma and myeloma. We also have talks on transplant, on leukemia.
Dr. Coleman: I think you will find this clinically relevant, and will enable you to provide your patients with the most up-to-date data in all of these disease categories.
Dr. Leonard: We really gear this meeting toward the practicing physician, but also to those that are more sophisticated in the field, as well.
Dr. Furman: It's one of those meetings that will really teach us a lot about what we need to know in our day-to-day lives taking care of patients.
