Association to Connect Practitioners with Psychedelics Launches
A group of physicians, therapists and healthcare professionals have teamed up to form the Psychedelic Medicine Association, a public benefit corporation developed to connect medical practitioners with advancements being made in the world of psychedelics.
As part of its launch, the society has published “Prepare for the Future of Psychedelic Medicine 2020,” an introductory guide to psychedelics that provides the current status of various psychedelic medicines, including ketamine, MDMA and psilocybin, and chronicles their development and changes in legal status.
The association says it will provide regular updates to practitioners and tips for discussion psychedelics with patients, as well as options for further study and recruiting opportunities for clinical trials.
The Psychedelic Medicine Association is led by Lynn Marie Morski, MD, Esq., a physician, attorney and former adjunct law professor who spent nine years as a physician at the Veterans Administration.
