Tell NAADAC how you made a difference
September ends up being a special month not only because of how communities across the nation celebrate recovery, but also as a result of shining a light on unsung heroes in the addiction professional community. Because so many addiction professionals make a difference on a daily basis but never see these stories told, NAADAC, The Association of Addiction Professionals has created an outlet for this as part of this year’s commemoration of Addiction Professionals Day.
NAADAC wants to receive written accounts of how you, or another professional you know in the field, made a difference in someone’s life. It is accepting submissions through this Friday, Sept. 20, which is Addiction Professionals Day.
Submissions may be e-mailed (no handwritten submissions, NAADAC requests) to NAADAC director of strategic planning and outreach Donovan Kuehn at dkuehn@naadac.org.
NAADAC plans to feature several of these stories in the magazine Advances in Addiction and Recovery. And a $10 Starbucks gift card will go to anyone who submits a story. September offers a great time to share.
