How to Use
- The MINI is a widely used psychiatric structured diagnostic interview instrument.
- To keep the interview brief, tell the patient the interview is structured and requires only “yes” or “no” answers.
- The MINI is divided into modules identified by letters corresponding to diagnostic categories.
How to Score
All questions must be rated. Rating is done to the right of each question by circling either Yes or No. When necessary, the clinician should ask for examples and the patient should be encouraged to ask for clarification when needed.
