Kick Foot Odor To The Curb With A New Antimicrobial Shoe Shield

Podiatrists looking for an efficient, natural way to combat and neutralize shoe odor may want to consider a new antimicrobial shoe shield.

   The Clean Sweep™ Antimicrobial Shoe Shield™ is a clear, flexible antimicrobial spray that works inside the shoe and the manufacturer Tetra says the product eliminates 99.9 percent of odor-causing bacteria and fungus on contact.

   Clean Sweep utilizes a nanosilver formula to kill bacteria safely and effectively, and neutralize the causes of shoe odor, notes the company. The silver nanoparticles come in contact with moisture and release very low levels of silver ions that prevent microbes from growing.

   According to Dr. Geoghan’s experience, Clean Sweep can begin working as early as one week after treatment.
