• Evenly impregnated with zinc oxide
• Self-adherent/cohesive

The Unna-FLEX® Convenience Pack is used for ambulatory management of venous leg ulcers and lymphatic edema.

Arterial and mixed venous/arterial ulcers. As with all products, Unna-FLEX® Elastic Unna Boot and the self-adherent bandage should not be used on individuals with a known sensitivity to the components of either product.

This product contains natural rubber latex which may cause allergic reactions. Initial use of these products should be under the direction of a health care professional. If redness or irritation results, discontinue use and consult a health care professional.

Observation: A lack of adequate rest and failure to elevate the affected leg in patients with vascular insufficiency can increase the amount of local edema and hinder healing.
Unna-FLEX® Elastic Unna Boot:
Begin bandaging with Unna-FLEX® at the base of the toes. Keep foot and ankle at right angles. Unna-FLEX® will wrap smoothly onto leg without gaps and pleats. Layer bandage onto leg until it is covered up to the knee. Unna-FLEX® adapts to contours of the leg.
Elastic Bandage:
Start the bandage at the center of the ball of the foot, with the lower edge of the bandage at the base of the toes. Anchor the attached bandage with the thumb and start the turn around the heel by pulling 6"-7" of the bandage away from the roll.  While the bandage is stretched, wrap around the heel area. Anchor the attached bandage with the thumb, pull another 6"-7" of bandage away from the roll, relax tension of the bandage and restretch the bandage 50% toward the ankle area. It is very important to maintain proper tension for two turns in the ankle area. Overlap each turn by 50% as the bandage is wrapped up the leg, to just below the knee, gradually decreasing the amount of stretch applied to the bandage. If necessary, cut any excess bandage and secure the end with medical tape.
