The Unna-FLEX® Elastic Unna Boot is used for ambulatory management of venous leg ulcers and lymphatic edema.
Arterial and mixed venous/arterial ulcers. As with all products, Unna-FLEX® Elastic Unna Boot and the self-adherent bandage should not be used on individuals with a known sensitivity to the components of either product.
Non-hardening zinc oxide paste (zinc oxide, acacia, glycerin, castor oil and white petrolatum)
Begin bandaging with Unna-FLEX® Elastic Unna Boot at base of toes. Keep foot and ankle at right angle. Unna-FLEX® Elastic Unna Boot will wrap smoothly onto leg without gaps and pleats. Layer bandage onto leg until it is covered up to the knee. Unna-FLEX® Elastic Unna Boot adapts to contours of leg. Apply an elastic bandage for compression. Maintain even tension and cover Unna-FLEX® Elastic Unna Boot completely.
